Immersive and interactive workshops

After Djerba and Singapore, France hosted this year the third edition of the Women’s Health Conference. From the very beginning of the event, participants were invited to take part in a variety of immersive and interactive workshops. These sessions covered a wide range of activities, from physical exercise and nutrition-focused cooking to prenatal ultrasound training and an introduction to assisted reproductive technologies. These experiences allowed attendees to engage directly with medical and scientific practices, turning the conference into a true learning experience. A visit to the Museum of the History of Medicine was also offered, during which the guide presented the permanent collection with a particular focus on women’s health.

Interdisciplinary and innovative exchanges

Through keynotes and roundtable discussions, experts and field practitioners addressed essential topics such as nutrition, environment, mental and reproductive health, violence against women, immune-inflammatory disorders, and the medicalization of maternal care. The conference also explored major issues such as cardiovascular health, breast cancer, and healthy aging, all from an interdisciplinary perspective.

An international reach

Organized by the Institute for Women and Interdisciplinary Research in Science and Health – iWISH, the conference is part of a global initiative, in partnership with the Global Centre for Asian Women’s Health (National University of Singapore), the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and the Stanford School of Medicine. These international collaborations enhance the scientific and societal impact of the event, fostering knowledge sharing and the development of practical solutions for women’s health.

An inspiring event driving action

Beyond scientific discoveries, the conference highlighted the importance of translating research into concrete actions and promoting a comprehensive, equitable, and innovative approach to women’s health.
